Daniel Beavers Killed in Eastvale Pedestrian Accident on Sumner Avenue near 68th Street
Eastvale, California (February 18, 2023) – 70-year-old Daniel Beavers was killed in a pedestrian accident that happened on Thursday evening in Eastvale.
According to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, the accident happened around 6:35 p.m. on Sumner Avenue near 68th Street.
Beavers was attempting to cross Sumner when a black Mercedes-Benz SUV operated by 56-year-old Cathie Jiaping Lee slammed into him.
Beavers, a resident of Eastvale, succumbed to his injuries at the accident scene.
Lee reportedly fled the scene after the collision but was later located and arrested. She was booked into the Robert Presley Jail in Riverside on suspicion of hit-and-run resulting in great bodily injury or death.

An investigation into the accident is underway.
