San Diego, California (April 25, 2023) – Authorities have disclosed the identities of two people who were killed in a collision involving a suspected drunk driver in Fallbrook on Sunday afternoon.

The fatal collision was reported at around 3:13 p.m. on southbound Interstate 15 Freeway near State Route 76, according to the California Highway Patrol.

29-year-old Courteney Taylor and 4-year-old Amaya Taylor were traveling in a car that collided head-on with another car driven by 23-year-old Erick Arambula.

Courteney and Amaya were killed in the crash.

Arambula was arrested on suspicion of felony DUI and gross vehicular manslaughter.

More details about the accident were not released.

An investigation into the accident is underway.
