1 Hospitalized after Cottonwood Accident on Interstate 5 at Bowman Road
Cottonwood, California (December 5, 2021) – One person is recovering in a local hospital following a two-vehicle collision on a freeway in Cottonwood Saturday evening, the California Highway Patrol said.
The major injury crash took place on Interstate 5 and Bowman Road at approximately 5:18 p.m.
The circumstances that led to the collision of an E-350 utility van and a pickup truck on the northbound side of the interstate were not immediately released at the report time.
Due to the impact, one of the vehicles overturned multiple times and came to a stop on its roof.
Major Injury Cottonwood Car Crash
As per the CHP report, one person sustained major injuries following the collision. The patient whose name was not immediately established was rushed to an area hospital for medication.
The crash resulted in the closure of the northbound Interstate 5 at Bowman for an unknown time.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
