Christopher McAlster Hurt in Fatal Fresno Accident near Alta and Frankwood Avenue

Fresno, California (April 26, 2023) – Christopher McAlster, 44, of Woodlake, was injured in a fatal car accident in eastern Fresno County on Tuesday, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The wreck happened at about 11:20 a.m. April 25, near Alta and Frankwood Avenue.

CHP said a Jeep Liberty was speeding east on Highway 180 when, for unknown reasons, the driver went across the double yellow lines and collided with a Chevy pickup truck.

The operator of the Jeep, a 33-year-old Fresno man, was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected.

The driver was pronounced dead at the scene.

A passenger in the Jeep, a 13-year-old, was airlifted to a local hospital, where she later died.

McAlster was the driver of the Chevy and was taken to a hospital with moderate injuries.

A 16-year-old and a 4-year-old in the Chevy were not injured.

The CHP is investigating the crash.
