1 Injured in South Lake Tahoe Crash on Highway 50 near Gunmount Trail

South Lake Tahoe, California (February 14, 2023) – The California Highway Patrol is investigating a three-vehicle accident that injured at least one person on Monday evening in South Lake Tahoe.

The accident happened around 5:28 p.m. on February 13 on eastbound Highway 50 near Gunmount Trail.

Police confirmed three vehicles crashed for reasons yet to be determined. Authorities described the incident as a head-on and rear-end crash.

Fire officials and medics arrived to aid at least one person hurt in the accident. Police did not provide the total number of victims.

Traffic delays were experienced in the area following the accident.

Tow trucks were requested to remove the vehicles from the location.
