1 Injured in Redwood City Accident on Highway 101 near Whipple Avenue

Redwood City, California (March 7, 2023) – The California Highway Patrol is investigating a multi-vehicle accident that left one person with minor injuries on Monday afternoon in Redwood City.

The multi-vehicle accident happened around 4:15 p.m. on March 6 on southbound Highway 101, just south of Whipple Avenue.

Police confirmed three vehicles, including a silver Ford Escape and a Ford Ranger, collided for reasons still under investigation. The Escape sustained significant front damage, while the Ranger had major rear damage following the accident.

Fire officials and medics rushed to the accident location to aid at least one person hurt in the collision. The total number of patients and their current condition were not immediately released.

The vehicles were blocking lanes 4 and 5 following the crash.

The cars were towed away, and all lanes cleared as of 5:29 p.m.
