1 Sustains Minor Injuries After Walnut Creek Accident on 680 Freeway near Walnut Creek Platform Scales

Walnut Creek, California (February 21, 2023) – The California Highway Patrol is investigating a multi-vehicle accident that injured one person on Monday night in Walnut Creek. 

The collision happened at around 7:29 p.m. on February 20 on the southbound 680 Freeway near Walnut Creek Platform Scales.

Police confirmed four vehicles, including a white sedan and a silver Honda Civic, crashed. The sedan was driving recklessly before the collision.

Responding emergency crews and medics attended to one party with minor injuries due to the collision.

The Honda sustained significant front-end damage and was towed away from the accident location.

Further details regarding this collision were not released.

The incident remains under investigation.
