At Least 1 Seriously Injured in Laguna Hills Crash on Interstate 5 near El Toro Road

Laguna Hills, California (January 31, 2023) – At least one person was severely injured in a Monday night crash that happened in Laguna Hills, the California Highway Patrol said.

Two separate collisions, each involving two vehicles, occurred just before 11 p.m. on southbound Interstate 5, just north of El Toro Road.

Firefighters responded to the scene and blocked the Nos. 2, 3, 4, and 5 lanes.

One of the crashes left at least one person with serious injuries, as per the report.

The other collision resulted in property damage only.

CHP is investigating to establish what transpired leading to the incidents.
