Child Injured in Bay Bridge Accident near San Francisco

San Francisco, California (May 1, 2023) – A child was transported to a hospital after being involved in a two-car accident on the Bay Bridge near San Francisco Sunday night, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The crash happened at about 7:50 p.m. April 30, west of Treasure Island.

An Audi sedan and a Dodge sedan reportedly collided on the eastbound lanes of the Bay Bridge.

The Audi flipped following the crash and blocked several lanes.

A 10-year-old child who was a passenger in the Audi was transported to a hospital with complaints of pain.

Several lanes were shut down as authorities worked to clear the scene.

The CHP is investigating the incident.
