Child Injured in Sacramento Accident on Alta Arden Expressway 

Sacramento, California (February 21, 2023) – A child was injured when a vehicle slammed into a restaurant in Sacramento on Monday night, according to authorities.

The incident took place in the 2500 block of Alta Arden Expressway at about 8:04 p.m. February 20.

The driver of a food delivery vehicle reportedly stepped on the gas pedal instead of the brakes and slammed into the restaurant.

Medics responded to the scene and attended to the parties who were inside the restaurant and the delivery driver.

After evaluation, a girl was transported to a hospital for minor injuries.

The cause of the collision remained under investigation.
