Child Killed in Visalia Accident on Avenue 256 

Visalia, California (May 1, 2023) – A child was struck and killed by a vehicle in Visalia on Friday evening, according to the authorities.

The crash was reported at around 7:54 p.m. April 28, near Avenue 256 and Road 159.

According to CHP, a 27-year-old man was driving a Nissan westbound on Avenue 256 when a child ran into the roadway from a driveway and was hit by the car.

The 2-year-old was rushed to a hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.

The driver of the car stayed at the scene after the accident.

Authorities do not believe alcohol or drugs played any role in the incident.

The cause of the collision is under investigation.
