Cheyanna Jackson Killed in Jamestown Crash on Highway 108
Jamestown, California (April 22, 2023) – Cheyanna Jackson, 31, of Knights Ferry, was killed in a collision that happened last month west of Jamestown, according to a report by the California Highway Patrol.
The incident took place at about 9:10 a.m. on March 16, on Highway 108 east of La Grange Road.
According to the CHP, a 2003 Honda was traveling east on Highway 108 when it drifted into the south shoulder, then overcorrected to the left and moved across the broken yellow line.
37-year-old Joshua Selesia, of Sonora, was driving a 2013 Ford F650 tow truck hauling a 2001 Ford Excursion west on the highway when he tried to swerve to avoid the SUV.
However, the right of the SUV collided with the left side of the truck.
Jackson, who was the operator of the SUV, died at the scene.
The SUV caught fire following the crash and the fire spread into the truck and the other Ford.
Selesia was transported to Memorial Medical Center in Modesto with moderate injuries.
Alcohol and drugs were not believed to be factors in the crash.
The investigation is ongoing.
