2 Injured in Bakersfield Crash at Truxtun Avenue and Oak Street

Bakersfield, California (April 17, 2023) – Two people were injured after a police pursuit ended in a crash at an intersection in Bakersfield Sunday morning, the Bakersfield Police Department said.

The wreck occurred at Truxtun Avenue and Oak Street at around 9:30 a.m. April 16.

Police tried to stop a female driver for a code violation but the woman drove off and police began a chase.

The chase came to an end when the suspect collided with another car at the intersection of Truxtun Avenue and Oak Street.

Both drivers were transported to a hospital with minor injuries.

Police said the suspect was taken into custody after the crash.

The cause of the incident is under investigation.
