San Bernardino County, California (January 24, 2023) – The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department identified 51-year-old Chan Dinh as the person who died in a boating accident in Havasu Lake.

On Saturday, January 14, the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department Marine Enforcement Unit responded to Lake Havasu 100’ off cove 1 in Havasu Landing after reports of a boating accident.

The incident was reported to the deputies at around 10:13 a.m.

The responders recovered the body of Dinh, a West Covina resident, at 8:46 a.m.

Authorities are investigating to establish the cause of the collision.
