At Least 1 Hospitalized After Irwindale Car Collision on Interstate 605 at Arrow Highway

Irwindale, California (February 8, 2023) – A multi-vehicle collision involving a Caltrans truck in Irwindale left least one person injured Tuesdday afternoon, the California Highway Patrol said.

The pileup took place at about 3:12 p.m. on Interstate 605 at Arrow Highway.

CHP said a Caltrans truck with arrow boards, a semi-truck ferrying 7,000 lbs of an unknown load, and a 1980s pickup truck were involved in the accident. The vehicles were blocking traffic lanes.

An occupant in the Caltrans truck was bleeding from the head. At least one other person in the pickup truck was also possibly hurt. Paramedics transported one person to Kaiser Permanente Irwindale Medical Center with minor injuries.

CHP is investigating to establish the cause of the accident.
