Boy Seriously Injured in Scooter Accident on Catalina Boulevard at Narragansett Avenue

San Diego, California (March 4, 2023) – A 17-year-old boy was seriously injured after being struck by a while riding a motorized scooter in the Point Loma Heights area of San Diego on Friday evening.

The San Diego Police Department says the crash happened at around 6:30 p.m. on Catalina Boulevard at Narragansett Avenue.

The boy was riding a bike southbound on Catalina Boulevard and was waiting to turn onto Narragansett when he was struck from behind by a car.

The teenager suffered major injuries in the accident and was transported to an area hospital for treatment.

An investigation into the accident is underway.
