Bicyclist Hurt in Redding Crash on Churn Creek Road near Hartnell Avenue

Redding, California (December 2, 2021) – A bicyclist was struck and injured by a vehicle in Redding on Wednesday morning, according to Redding police.

The incident happened on Churn Creek Road just south of Hartnell Avenue at around 11:43 a.m. December 1.

Police said a 28-year-old Redding man was riding a bike northbound on Churn Creek Road and changing lanes when he entered the path of a southbound Toyota SUV.

Bicyclist Seriously Injured in Redding Crash  

The SUV struck the cyclist and ejected him from the bike.

The victim was  transported to Mercy Medical for treatment of major injuries.

The driver of the SUV stayed at the scene after the accident.

An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
