Man Injured in Kirkland Bicycle Accident on Northeast 85th Street

Kirkland, Washington (April 14, 2023) – A bicyclist was seriously injured after being hit by a car early Friday morning in Kirkland.

According to a report by the Kirkland Police Department, the accident happened on eastbound Northeast 85th Street, just east of I-405, just after midnight.

The circumstances surrounding the accident were not immediately established.

The male cyclist reportedly suffered major injuries in the accident and was transported to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.

The driver who struck the bicyclist pulled over further up the road after the collision and cooperated with the authorities.
