Rodriguez was hit by a vehicle around 8:59 a.m. on August 2 in the area of East 9th Street and Union Avenue, according to BPD.
Bakersfield, CA – The authorities have released the identity of a pedestrian who was hit and killed by a vehicle at an intersection in East Bakersfield early this month.
The Kern County coroner's office identified the victim as Antonio Rodriguez, a 73-year-old Bakersfield man.
Rodriguez was hit by a vehicle around 8:59 a.m. on August 2 in the area of East 9th Street and Union Avenue, according to BPD.
Rodriguez was transported to Kern Medical, where he later died.
The driver of the vehicle stayed at the scene after the crash and cooperated with investigators.
