At Least 1 Sustains Serious Injuries in Soledad Car Accident on Highway 101 near Arroyo Seco Road

Monterey County, California (April 24, 2023) – At least one person was seriously injured in a Sunday afternoon crash on Highway 101 near Soledad, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Authorities received reports of the collision at around 5:24 p.m. in the southbound lanes of the highway just south of Arroyo Seco Road.

According to witnesses, a possible Acura sedan was traveling at speeds of approximately 100 mph when it hit at least one other vehicle, causing it to overturn onto its roof.

The accident left at least one person suffering from severe injuries.  The patient was hospitalized in an unknown condition.

CHP officers are investigating the accident.
