Ashley Villasenor Injured in Hesperia Crash on Highway 395 

Hesperia, California (May 14, 2023) – Ashley Villasenor, 12, was injured in a fatal collision that happened Thursday evening in Hesperia, according to the authorities.

The wreck took place on Highway 395, shortly before 6:31 p.m. May 11.

According to the report, Jose Vargas, 41, of Adelanto, was southbound on the highway when he swerved into the northbound side and collided head-on with an oncoming vehicle operated by Ashley’s mother Lisette Villasenor, 36, of Victorville.

Lisette and her 6-year-old son Daniel were flown to a hospital, where Lisette was pronounced deceased.

Daniel was hospitalized with major injuries.

Ashley was transported by ambulance with moderate injuries.

Vargas, who was not injured, was arrested for gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated and felony DUI.

Authorities are investigating the incident.
