
Arvin, CA.- A man who was killed in an accident involving an off-road vehicle in Arvin last month has been identified by the Kern County Coroner's Office.
Andres Ramirez, 22, of Arvin, was the victim of the accident that occurred at around 12:35 p.m. on December 22, on Rockpile Road south of Buena Vista Boulevard.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a 20-year-old woman was driving an off-road vehicle at a high rate of speed southbound on Rockpile Road when she drifted off the roadway and crashed into two almond trees.
Ramirez was a passenger in the vehicle and was killed in the crash. The driver was taken to Kern Medical with major injuries. The accident is under investigation by the CHP.
