Arturo Pena Killed in Car Accident on D Street in Victorville

Victorville, California (May 11, 2023) – 33-year-old Arturo Pena, of Barstow, has been identified as the man who died in a two-vehicle collision in Victorville on Tuesday morning.

The fatal crash happened at around 8:30 p.m. in the 16000 block of North D Street, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Pena was driving a white Ford SUV southbound when he drifted into the opposite lanes and collided with a gray Chevrolet.

The impact of the crash sent the Ford off the roadway and came to rest on the train tracks.

A BNSF train was unable to stop and struck the Ford.

Pena was pronounced dead at the accident scene, according to the San Bernardino County Coroner’s Office

Officials say six juveniles and two adults were in the Chevrolet at the time of the crash. Two occupants were transported to the hospital with minor injuries.

The Major Accident Investigation Team is investigating the cause of the crash.
