Armando Vega Dies in Patterson Crash on Orange and Elm Avenues

Patterson, California (March 8, 2023) – Armando Vega, 56, was one of three people killed in a two-vehicle crash west of Patterson on Monday afternoon, according to the authorities.

The collision occurred at Orange and Elm avenues on March 6.

According to a report by the California Highway Patrol, Mario Estrada, 20, of Crows Landing, was operating a Ram pickup east on Orange Avenue when he did not yield at the intersection and collided with a Dodge SUV traveling southbound on Elm Avenue.

The three people in the SUV, identified as Vega,  Maria Cruz Alarez, 56, of Patterson, and their son Jesus Vega-Cruz, 26, all of Patterson, were killed in the collision.

The occupants of the other vehicle, including Estrada, were treated for minor injuries. An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
