Ariyonne Casey Killed in Car Accident on 15 Freeway near Midway Rest Area in Barstow
San Bernardino, California (February 23, 2023) – Ariyonne Casey, 4, of Long Beach, has been identified as the child who died after a car crash in Barstow on Saturday, February 11.
At around 6:09 p.m., the California Highway Patrol-Barstow Division responded to the scene of a traffic collision on southbound Interstate 15 near Midway Rest Area.
A Cadillac SUV reportedly collided head-on with an unknown vehicle in unclear circumstances. One of the vehicles was traveling southbound when it reportedly veered across the centerline and collided head-on with a second car.
Two people were seriously injured in the accident and were flown to Sunrise Hospital Medical Center in Las Vegas in critical condition.
Casey later succumbed to her injuries.
Additional information about the accident was not provided.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
