San Bernardino, California (October 20, 2022) – 26-year-old Anthony Michael Chesnut has been identified who was killed in a car crash that happened last week Wednesday afternoon in Phelan.

At around 12:49 p.m., on October 12, the California Highway Patrol received reports of a collision on Highway 138 at Oil Well Road.

A blue Dodge Charger or Challenger and a silver Kia, possibly a minivan, were involved in the collision. The events leading up to the accident were not immediately established. Both vehicles sustained major damages in the crash.

Chestnut, a resident of Phelan, was killed in the crash.

Another person sustained major injuries including a broken leg and was transported to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center for treatment.

No additional information about the accident was provided.

An investigation into the accident is underway.
