Angelica Lopez Killed in Pico Rivera Accident on Whittier Boulevard near San Gabriel River (605) Freeway 

Pico Rivera, California (May 15, 2022) – Angelica Lopez, 62, of Whittier, was among two people who were killed in an early Saturday morning collision in Pico Rivera, according to a report by the coroner’s office.

The crash occurred at about 1:15 a.m. on Whittier Boulevard, west of the San Gabriel River (605) Freeway.

Lopez was in one of the two involved vehicles and died in the crash.

A boy in the second vehicle, identified as Nathan Lizarraga, 14, of Whittier, was also killed in the accident.

Two other parties were transported to a trauma center for treatment.

No further details on the incident were released.

The cause of the collision is under investigation.
