Deputy Andrew Davidson Killed in Riverside Motorcycle Accident on Van Buren Blvd near Garfield

Riverside, California (April 24, 2023) – 23-year-old Andrew Davidson, a Riverside County sheriff’s deputy, was killed in a collision that happened on Monday morning in Riverside.
According to the Riverside Police Department, the accident happened on Van Buren Boulevard near Garfield Street at around 8:30 a.m.
A Toyota Camry driven by a 66-year-old man collided with the off-duty officer’s motorcycle.
Davidson was transported to the hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
Davidson joined the Sheriff’s Department in March 2022 and was assigned to the Perris station, police said.
The man in the sedan sustained minor injuries in the accident.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
