Amaya Chenot Killed in Fresno Accident at Friant Road and Shepherd Avenue

Fresno, California (April 13, 2023) – Amaya Chenot, 22, of Fresno, was killed in a collision early Wednesday morning in northeast Fresno, according to the authorities.

The incident took place at Friant Road and Shepherd Avenue just before 1 a.m. April 12.

A tow truck was traveling northbound on Friant Road when it failed to stop for a red light and slammed into a car that was trying to make a left turn.

The driver of the car, identified as Chenot, was pinned in the car and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The driver of the tow truck was not injured.

The crash is under investigation.
