Ubaldo was riding a motorcycle westbound on Highway 242 near the Grant Street off-ramp when, around 4:30 a.m., he lost control and wobbled before he was struck by another vehicle.

Ubaldo died at the scene.

Concord, CA.- One person was killed in a motorcycle collision in Concord early Friday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The incident happened on Highway 242 near the Grant Street exit at about 4:10 a.m. August 15.

According to the CHP, a motorcycle traveling southbound on the highway spun out of control and was hit by another vehicle.

One person was killed in the accident.

The identity of the deceased victim was withheld pending notification of the next-of-kin.

All lanes were shut down for hours as authorities worked at the scene.

The CHP is handling the investigation.
