National City, CA. – One person was injured in a multi-vehicle collision that happened Monday night on a freeway in National City, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The pileup took place just after 10 p.m. on Interstate 805 near Sweetwater Road.
Three vehicles were involved in the crash.
A tire, a bumper, and other debris from the collision were down in the Nos. 1 and 2 lanes. A black Kia Optima ran over the debris and sustained a flat tire.
At least one person sustained minor injuries in the accident. The patient was taken to the hospital for treatment.
Authorities are investigating the collision.
