Oildale, CA. – Two men were hospitalized after they were struck by a driver evading police officers Saturday night in Oildale, the Kern County Sheriff's Office reported.
The incident occurred around 9:15 p.m. in an alley near North Chester Avenue between Decatur Street and Lincoln Avenue.
According to authorities, deputies were pursuing a possibly stolen vehicle that failed to stop when the suspect entered an alley at a speed of about 15 mph and hit two men, trapping them underneath the car.
Several deputies arrived at the scene and lifted the vehicle off the victims.
Both men were hospitalized with moderate injuries.
The suspect was arrested at the scene.
Authorities are investigating the incident.
