Portland, OR.– A woman was hit and injured by a vehicle in Portland on Thursday afternoon, according to Portland police.

The incident occurred outside Providence Portland Medical Center at 5000 Northeast Hoyt Street at around 1:35 p.m. October 9.

A man was trying to park his vehicle when he accidentally accelerated and struck a woman sitting on a bench.

The woman was transported to Legacy Emanuel Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police are conducting an investigation into the crash.
