Long Beach, CA – A female pedestrian was hit and killed by a Transit bus on Shoreline Drive in Downton Long Beach Tuesday evening, according to a report by Long Beach PD.
The incident occurred on Shoreline Drive and 7th Street at about 6:55 p.m. on November 26, the Long Beach Police Department said.
The police said a Long Beach Transit bus was traveling northbound on Shoreline Drive, south of 7th Street when it struck a female pedestrian.
Despite life-saving measures, the victim died at the scene.
The name of the deceased was not immediately disclosed.
The police said speed, distracted driving, and impaired driving did not appear to be factors in the collision.
No additional information about the wreck was not provided.
An investigation is ongoing.
