A preliminary report revealed the woman was walking in a marked crosswalk on the north side of the intersection when a motorist made a left turn from West 23rd Street toward Santa Fe Avenue and struck her.
Long Beach, CA. – A female pedestrian injured in a Wednesday crash on 23rd Street in Long Beach dies.
According to the Long Beach Police Department, the wreck happened at around 7 a.m. September 4 on 23rd Street at Santa Fe Avenue.
A preliminary report revealed the woman was walking in a marked crosswalk on the north side of the intersection when a motorist made a left turn from West 23rd Street toward Santa Fe Avenue and struck her.
The Long Beach Fire Department paramedics took the woman to the hospital, where she was pronounced dead three days later, police said.
The name of the deceased was not released.
The crash remains under investigation.
