A preliminary investigation revealed Stocker was walking in the outer lane of the freeway when he was struck by a southbound Volkswagen sedan.
San Diego, CA. – The Coroner's Office identified 35-year-old Michael Robert Stocker as a pedestrian killed in a early Wednesday morning crash on Interstate 5 in San Diego.
According to the CHP, the crash happened at around 12:26 a.m. September 11 on Interstate 5 Old Town Avenue.
A preliminary investigation revealed Stocker was walking in the outer lane of the freeway when he was struck by a southbound Volkswagen sedan.
Stocker was pronounced dead at the scene.
The unidentified driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the officers.
An investigation is ongoing.
