According to the San Diego Police Department, Cambero Castro was riding a Honda VFR 750F motorcycle eastbound on San Pasqual Valley Road at a high rate of speed when he failed to negotiate a curve.
Escondido, CA. – 32-year-old Daniel Cambero Castro of Ramona died in a motorcycle accident that happened Sunday evening in Escondido, the San Diego County Medical Examiner said.
The wreck occurred around 6:12 p.m. in the 14500 block of San Pasqual Valley Road.
According to the San Diego Police Department, Cambero Castro was riding a Honda VFR 750F motorcycle eastbound on San Pasqual Valley Road at a high rate of speed when he failed to negotiate a curve.
The motorcyclist veered into oncoming traffic and collided head-on with a Chevrolet Equinox heading westbound on the same road.
Cambero Castro was ejected from the bike onto the roadway.
Witnesses called 911 and reported the accident.
Responding emergency personnel attempted life-saving measures but the rider died from his injuries at the scene at 6:38 p.m. He died from multiple blunt force injuries, according to the Medical Examiner.
SDPD is investigating the accident.

The fatal crash happened around 8:30 p.m. on 14500 San Pasqual Valley Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A 32-year-old man was riding a motorcycle eastbound on the highway when he drifted into the westbound lanes for unknown reasons and collided head-on with a Chevrolet Equinox.
The unidentified rider was killed in the accident.
The 65-year-old man driving the Chevrolet and his two passengers had complaints of pain.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
