Campbell, CA. – The Santa Clara County Medical Examiner-Coroner released the name of the bicyclist who died Wednesday morning in a crash that happened at an intersection in Campbell.
John Hsieh, 87, of San Jose, was involved in the accident at about 9:05 a.m. at San Tomas Expressway and West Campbell Avenue.
According to the Campbell Police Department, Hsieh collided with a car at the intersection under unclear circumstances.
Emergency personnel responded to the scene and transported the cyclist to a local hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
The driver involved stopped and cooperated with investigators.
Police said impairment did not appear to be a contributing factor.
