, CA – A man was struck and killed by a car and a metro bus after he exited his car followingva separate head-on crash on 110 (Habor) Freeway in South Los Angeles, according to a police report.

Police said the initial head-on crash happened just before 5 a.m.

The man was traveling southbound in the northbound express lanes near Century Boulevard when he collided head-on with a cargo van.

After the collision, the man stepped out of his vehicle and was hit by a car and an out-of-service Metro.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

His name has not been released pending next of kin notification.

All northbound lanes of the Freeway were closed for about three hours as crews and investigators worked at the scene.
