Santa Maria, CA. – 84-year-old Jisabel Correa Bobadilla died after he was struck by a vehicle earlier this month at an intersection in Santa Maria, authorities reported.

Santa Maria police responded to the scene and found Bobadilla lying in the southbound lanes of Broadway with injuries.
Paramedics transported the pedestrian to Marian Regional Medical Center, where he later died from his injuries.

The driver of the car involved remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.

Santa Maria police, firefighters, and AMR personnel responded to the intersection of North Broadway and Orchard Street after receiving reports of a pedestrian hit by a car.
The responders found a pedestrian lying in the southbound lanes of Broadway with critical injuries.
An AMR ambulance transported the victim to Marian Regional Medical Center for treatment. The pedestrian later died while receiving treatment.
The car driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
Police said alcohol and drugs were not suspected to be contributing factors.
