Bakersfield, CA. – The Coroner's Office has identified 27-year-old Angel Isaac Chavez as a bicyclist killed in a June accident on Stockdale Highway in Bakersfield.
According to the CHP, the incident occurred June 25 on Stockdale Highway and Allen Road.
Chavez was riding his bicycle on the roadway when for unknown reasons he was struck by a vehicle.
Chavez was pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation.

Bakersfield, CA. – Authorities are investigating a deadly bicycle crash at Stockdale Highway in Bakersfield Tuesday evening.
According to a police report, the wreck happened at around 6:30 p.m. on June 25 at Stockdale Highway and Allen Road.
The driver was traveling east on Stockdale Highway when for unknown reasons they struck a bicyclist traveling south on Allen Road in the crosswalk.
The cyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.
Their identity was not immediately disclosed.
More details regarding the mishap were not provided.
An investigation is underway.
