Monroe, Wash. – 82-year-old woman has been identified as pedestrian killed in crash at North Kelsey Street in Monroe Monday morning.

The wreck happened at around 7 a.m. at North Kelsey Street and State Route 2.

Monroe, Wash. – A pedestrian was fatally injured after being hit by a vehicle at North Kelsey Street in Monroe Monday morning.

According to the Washington State Patrol, the wreck happened at around 7 a.m. at North Kelsey Street and State Route 2.

A vehicle hit a pedestrian while crossing the intersection in unclear circumstances. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

The identity of the deceased was not immediately established.

The wreck closed temporarily the highway during the on-scene investigation.

No additional information about the mishap was provided.

The accident remains under investigation.
