Torrance, CA. – The Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner identified the two men who died late Monday night in a traffic collision that happened on the southbound San Diego (405) Freeway in Torrance.
The two men were identified as 24-year-old Luke Coughlin and 57-year-old Gregory Coughlin.
The accident was reported around 11:44 p.m. south of Crenshaw Boulevard.
Several vehicles, including two sedans, were involved in the crash. One of the cars overturned.
A witness told California Highway Patrol officers they saw a vehicle strike the center divider and debris flew to the northbound side.
Luke and Gregory died from injuries they sustained in the crash. It was unclear if they are related.
Investigators closed all lanes of the southbound 405 Freeway between Crenshaw Boulevard and Western Avenue and the Crenshaw Boulevard on-ramp to the southbound side as they worked the scene. The lanes were back open at 3:17 p.m.

Torrance, CA. – One person died in a traffic collision that happened Monday night on Interstate 405 in Torrance, the California Highway Patrol said.
The incident took place around 11:44 p.m. in the southbound lanes of the freeway near Crenshaw Boulevard.
Two vehicles collided under unclear circumstances.
The Torrance Fire Department responded to the scene and found one car overturned onto its roof in the middle lanes, and the other vehicle blocking the HOV lane.
One person was killed in the accident, authorities said.
All southbound lanes of the freeway were blocked between Crenshaw Boulevard and Western Avenue and the Crenshaw Boulevard on-ramp were closed following the collision.
