Pleasant Hill, CA. – 18-year-old James Unfreed of Pleasant Hill died in a motorcycle accident that happened last week in the city, authorities said.
The collision occurred around 6:40 p.m. on October 23 at Contra Costa Boulevard and Dexter Drive.
Investigators said Unfreed was riding a motorcycle north when he collided with a car heading south as the driver attempted to turn left at the intersection.
Unfreed was rushed to John Muir Medical Center in Walnut Creek for treatment but later died at the facility.
The driver of the car stopped and cooperated with investigators.

Pleasant Hill, CA. – A motorcyclist died after being involved in a collision Wednesday afternoon at an intersection in Pleasant Hill, authorities said.
The incident was reported around 6:49 p.m. on Contra Costa Boulevard at Dexter Drive.
An 18-year-old Pleasant resident was riding a motorcycle northbound on Contra Costa Boulevard when he collided with a car turning left onto Dexter Drive from southbound Contra Costa Boulevard.
The motorcyclist was taken to John Muir Hospital in Walnut Creek with serious injuries. The victim later died from his injuries.
The sole occupant of the car was unhurt and remained at the scene.
The Pleasant Hill Police Department is investigating the accident.
