Eugene, Oregon – A teen was killed and four others were injured in a deadly two-vehicle collision in the North Eugene community Saturday afternoon.
The collision happpened at about 3:57 p.m. on December 7 at the intersection of River Road and Beacon Drive.
Eugene Police Department said a Toyota Corolla carrying five teenagers and a Chevy Suburban with a single occupant were involved in the collision.
The police said one teen was pronounced dead at the scene while four other teens in the Corolla were injured and hospitalized
Authorities said the driver of the Chevy remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
The incident prompted the closure of River Road in both directions for several hours as crews worked to clear the svcene.
No additional details regarding the accident were provided.
