The crash happened at about 12:11 p.m. on U.S. 101 South near the interchange of U.S. State Route 134 East, the California Highway Patrol reported.
A driver told the CHP that she stopped on the freeway and triggered a chain reaction, which involved a black GMC Yukon, a red Tesla, and a big rig.
