Los Angeles, CA. – Several people were injured in a multi-vehicle accident that took place early Tuesday morning in the Woodland Hills area of Los Angeles.
The pileup was reported around 12:45 a.m. on the westbound 101 Freeway just east of Fallbrook Avenue.
The California Highway Patrol said three vehicles were involved in the collision.
Several people were hurt in the accident. At least two of them were hospitalized with unspecified extent of injuries.
Investigators closed all westbound lanes and two eastbound lanes of the freeway following the crash. The eastbound lanes were reopened a short time later but the closure on westbound lanes was extended for two more hours. Westbound traffic was diverted off the freeway at Ventura Boulevard.
