Irvine, CA. – 61-year-old Scott Andrew Morris has died nearly a month after a bicycle accident in Irvine.
The accident happened on the San Diego (405) Freeway at MacArthur Boulevard at around 1:20 p.m., according to the Irvine Police Department.
Morris was reportedly riding his bicycle north on MacArthur in the right turn lane to the freeway on-ramp when he collided with a Chevrolet Suburban in unclear circumstances.
Morris was ejected from his bicycle and was transported to an area hospital where he succumbed to his injuries on Thursday, August 22.
Police say Morris was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.
The SUV driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with the police.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
