Police say Nefstad was reportedly in the middle of the parking lot when a Walmart employee struck her
Mountain View, Calif. – 35-year-old Sarah Nefstad, of Oakland, has been identified as the woman who died after being struck by a car at a Walmart parking lot in Mountain View on Monday.
The fatal pedestrian accident happened on the 500 block of Showers Drive at approximately 6 a.m., according to the Mountain View Police Department.
Police say Nefstad was reportedly in the middle of the parking lot when a Walmart employee struck her.
The employee said she couldn’t see clearly because it was dark and foggy.
Nefstad was killed in the accident, according to the Santa Clara County Coroner’s Office.
Neither drugs, alcohol nor speeding were involved in the crash.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
