A second semi tried to pass the stalled semi and crashed head-on with an oncoming passenger car on US 97
Blewett Pass, Wash. – Roneo P. Gonzalez, 58, of Seattle, was hurt in a crash involving a big rig on the Blewett Pass Monday afternoon, the Washington State Patrol said.
The incident took place on Highway 97 at around 1:45 p.m. January 8.
The Washington State Patrol said a semi-truck traveling south on the highway jackknifed and blocked lanes on Highway 97.
A second semi tried to pass the stalled semi and crashed head-on with an oncoming passenger car.
Roneo was among the four occupants of the car who were taken to Confluence Health Hospital Central Campus in Wenatchee for treatment.
Other parties involved in the wreck were uninjured.
The collision is under investigation by the WSP.
